SIGNS WITH INTERCHANGEABLE DIGITS
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Orientation signs with interchangeable figures were created on the basis of western-european patterns and have been adapted to Polish conditions to meet the Polish standards PN-86/B-09700 and ZN-G-3004
The material of the sign is manufactured in a large resistance to mechanical damages (ABS - high impact strength). Additional protection against cracks is enhancement around the perimeter. Orientation sign is produced in two-color injection technology. This method involves the thermal combination of two colors of plastic together eg. white with blue, red with white or yellow with black. As a result, we get exceptional durability, and the symbols on the plate are extremely resistant to weathering, especially to degradation by sunlight.
In the poorer version, sign can be covered with paint which has been specially matched to the ABS material in screen printing technology.
Orientation sign is adapted for mounting in different places: on the wall, pillars, posts, etc. During installation of the sign on the wall use dowels, placing them in two holes located in the inner part of the sign, which we can blind it by bricks with number. In this way we protect sign from unscrewing by unwanted persons. The second option is the ability to take advantage of holes in the four corners of the sign which should be pierced from the rear side. The same holes also serve for fixing the plate on posts and poles.
Installation of bricks is also simple. Bricks are in two sizes, with the corresponding digits or blank, should be put in the sign by pressing them in free slot. The advantages of using the bricks are as lower costs of mounting of orientation signs, because we put them into the plate immediately after the relevant measurements. This solution is also important if you made a mistake, because the bricks can be easily removed from the slot and mount again in the right slot.
Last but not least important aspect is aesthetics
of signs and their durability. Unified inscriptions on signs and indelible printing of numbers, according to Polish standard (instead of handwritten numbers by using felt-tip), not only simplifies the identification of data stored on the plates after several years of operation, but also blend well orientation signs with the facade of the building.
Set consists of eight pieces of large bricks and nine small, with digits or blank to fill.
First row is used for stocktaking of sign (5 pieces), second row means the diameters of the pipe used in that place (three bricks). In this both rows are used larger bricks.
Small bricks shall apply only for marking
the distance between the sign and the terminal.
